1970s High School Yearbook

cute at all times.

After the previous post, where I made a little history of dress, now I return to the reality of our present this fashion.
For this I have prepared an original print, in the sense that it is done for me (as usual in the blog), and not in the sense that the topic is "something from another world" , as they say .
These flowers, handmade, very simple with a border of "hatched" in various colors. Which is below the first:

I performed different combinations of colors, then mix in order to design garments. In these 3 patterns have repeated the valance 3 times to make a repetitive composition, so I got a "stamped in the piece" romantic and floral. The following combination mix all the colors in the flowers with red as the base.
In this combination I have used red and pink tones.

and I have taken this other option, a harmony of blue-

the last color, I played with the colors of the first original design, adding a background spotting in yellow and blue.
designs for clothes, I have relied on air
Print romantic setting. With the flyers I got this feeling of movement and femininity without being refilled models. The dress with layers of ruffles, each with a different color, is the first of the series:
The second model is the MINI, with the flat part of the waist and 3 layers of fliers printed with different colors:

And finally, a long strapless jersey smooth, flat piece with bow, body and flyers printed with different colors.

Y. .. Now, we are prepared to give our little walk summer in the countryside or in a park! without fear of not being consistent with the landscape and nature. Attentive, for they can be "MONISSSIMAS" at any time.

Wedding Dance Mount And Lade

A bit of history. How dressed in ancient times?

From the beginning of time, man has felt the need to dress to protect yourself from the elements. Our prehistoric ancestors were already using a "dress" made from the skins of animals they hunted, besides he covered his feet with the same skins, with a "shoe" to shelter and avoid injury.
also used different branches and leaves to manufacture fabrics, woven together that gave rise to different parts covered.
As the centuries went by, different civilizations adapted their clothing to the lifestyle they led, their geographical location, climate, customs, social class they belonged, for example, in ancient Egypt or Greece or classical Rome was not the same a peasant or a noble slave. Her attire defined the post he occupied in society.

Today I made some designs basing in Greece Classical because I find it very interesting to watch as in ancient times were also concerned about their appearance, and this gave them personality. You could say that the "fashion" , began making their "first steps" in those remote times and almost in all spheres of life: culture, science, thought, including: Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans We left a good inheritance, because their culture is the foundation of our civilization.

to see some sort of dress this picture of the Goddess ARTEMISA has inspired me for my own models reversals. This is the Goddess of fertility, hunting, animals and childbirth.
It was also named the Goddess of animals

The main materials used by the Greeks to make their garments were wool, flax and skins. In the women was very common piece was a "bandana" (similar to matching that we use today to go to the beach or pool), tied with a belt: the chiton could also be defined as a Long sleeveless blouse tied at the waist.
Both men and women was also very used himation was a robe or cloak.
Another very important element in female attire were the jewels that adorned their arms, necks etc ...
The style was important and put on different tiaras and hairpieces.
The dresses were too many folds, drapes and layers of ruffles.
were typical to put on sandals made of leather, tied around their ankles.
This is my updated version of two dresses inspired by all this:

Another classic image: PANDORA . She was which you opened the jar where they kept all evil, (Pandora's box), this made disasters and misfortunes: poverty, insanity, pests, diseases ... erupted and spread around the world. Despite all this Pandora give him time to close the jar before they hope to escape. Yet all was not lost was HOPE
The beautiful painting of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, in which we see a Pandora opening her box: This painter born (1828-1882) in London of Italian origin, was plus: poet, illustrator and translator. Founded "brotherhood prerafaelita" that inspired by ancient Italian painters, who also enjoyed painting them mythological themes. Shared the same taste that Rossetti did not often reflect themes in his paintings realistic but symbolic and mythological images.

With a little history, a broad brush, and without seeming to "my art" in all the great classics or this painter, they are unique and inimitable, my designs are now trying to conjure up a little this time of antiquity.

How A Multipication Chart On Excel

My little "tribute" to

The pattern I've created today, is my "tiny" "tribute" to the designer Emilio Pucci in the '60s.
Born in Florence (Italy) is one of my favorites, his taste for geometric patterns, colorful kaleidoscope, made him famous in this decade. Came from an aristocratic family (I think he held the title of Marquis), study various careers: social sciences, agriculture, but it came casually into the world of fashion to meet a photographer for Harper's Bazaar. This photo is one of their models:

For this mini-tribute I started from a first geometric shapes, and I've been combining various colors chosen to fill them: turquoise background, two shades of purple, fuchsia, blue, white and pink.
The next step was to "distort" the previous drawing (original), making it a type "spiral", or turning on itself, so I was left with the final drawing I wanted: My own stamping piece that reminds one of "my admiration Pucci."
designs I made are bathing. A skirt that matches your bathing suit is that in the heat is very handy, because you can leave you thread your skirt up, to go to the pool, beach or a drink along the promenade.

From the first picture (the original) I made two color variations: One with a green background and one with background "salmon."

Although no longer with us as we left in 1992, always will be his drawings, sketches, photos, clothing, fashion ... Ultimately his great contribution to fashion as "festival of colors and shapes"
